My Favorite Pasta Tools

My Favorite Pasta Tools

When I first started making pasta, I purchased every tool available. I was a bit obsessed. What I found was that some tools are essential, others shoddily-made, and many just plain unnecessary. This will be an ever-evolving list of my favorite tools for making pasta.

Imperia Pasta Maker Machine – Heavy Duty Steel Construction w Easy Lock Dial and Wood Grip Handle- Model 150 Made in Italy

My favorite pasta machine is on sale now! I purchased this machine about 4 years ago and it still works perfectly. And trust me, I’ve made a lot of pasta with this machine. You might be tempted to buy a cheaper model but don’t be. I purchased a few extra machines to have around for our pasta classes and they all broke within the first or second time of using them! Not even exaggerating.

Norpro Ravioli Maker With Press

For fast and uniform ravioli making, this press is the best. My only warning is to make sure that you flour the mold generously before laying your pasta sheet down, or it will stick.

Norpro Grip-EZ Pastry/Ravioli Wheel

This handy and affordable pastry cutter is essential for quickly cutting pasta sheets and sealing ravioli borders. Don’t skip this one.
